Neural Matters Limited was co-founded in 2001 by Saba Safdar and Tony Wall.

The company develops leading edge applications in the fields of Knowledge Mapping and Knowledge Management.  Various Knowledge Mapping techniques originated in the scientific community during the later half of the 20th century. With the popularity of computing and the internet, it has become an indispensable tool used by millions of people and companies around the globe.

Saba Safdar (Co-Founder, joint CEO and Business Director) read BSc Mathematical Modelling at Kingston University and is a also a instructor in advanced memory and learning techniques.  He is a certified IBM and Microsoft computer engineer and holds the eMA e-marketing qualification.

He has been using Knowledge Mapping techniques for over 10 years.  He says "Knowledge Mapping is an amazingly simple technique to learn, yet so powerful that I Knowledge Mapped a 1000 page Technical book and condensed it onto a single page of A3 and then went on to pass the exams!.  I wish I had come across them earlier.  The techniques have certainly changed my life in terms of getting things done quicker, more efficiently and much more effectively.

Previously, Saba has worked as an IT consultant at a senior level for over 9 years for blue chip clients such as IBM, Prudential, Barclays Bank, Deutsche Bank and Siemens Business Services.  He has introduced Knowledge Maps and brainstorming techniques into a number of organisations.

Tony Wall (Co-Founder, joint CEO and Chief Software Architect), is a highly experienced, qualified software architect and technical engineer. He holds the Microsoft MCSD, MCAD and MCSE qualifications, has been developing leading edge applications for over 13 years and providing technical consultancy for over 19 years. He has worked for large corporations including IBM, British Gas, Arthur Andersen, Barclays Bank, Deutsche Bank, Siemens and Fidelity Investments.

This unique team brings together the best aspects of experienced Kowledge Management and analytical skills with state-of-the-art technology and enterprise application development skills.
